The Role:
The firm are seeking a High-Frequency Quantitative Trader to establish and lead a new trading desk. This is an opportunity to operate within a high-performing environment while having the autonomy to shape a successful trading unit. The role is open to highly skilled individual traders or established independent teams with proven strategies.
Responsibilities:
• Develop, deploy, and optimize high-frequency trading strategies across liquid cash equities, futures, and/or FX.
• Utilize advanced market connectivity and technology to execute latency-sensitive strategies.
• Monitor and refine algorithms to maximize profitability while minimizing risk.
• Lead or collaborate with a team to achieve optimal performance and efficiency.
• Manage and scale the trading desk, ensuring alignment with firm-wide goals.
Requirements:
• A proven track record in developing and executing high-frequency trading strategies with a Sharpe ratio of 5+ and high return on capital (ROC).
• Expertise in liquid asset classes such as cash equities, futures, or FX.
• Strong academic background, ideally in quantitative disciplines such as Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or Engineering.
• Proficiency in programming, such as Python, C++, or Java.
• Deep understanding of market microstructure and algorithmic execution.
• Experience in working with or managing low-latency trading strategies.
